About this event

A Blend experience combining peer discussion with an immersive team cooking competition to explore leadership, culture and team performance. The strongest leadership teams are rarely defined by similarity. They are shaped by different perspectives, decision-making styles and ways of responding under pressure, and when those differences are understood well, they drive stronger performance, innovation and culture.

Working in small groups around a mystery cooking challenge, you’ll navigate surprise seasonal ingredients, time pressure and unfamiliar team dynamics. Professional chefs guide the practicalities. Success relies on something more familiar to senior leaders: communication, adaptability, navigating differing viewpoints and making decisions under pressure. As the challenge unfolds, familiar leadership dynamics tend to surface. Who drives pace, who builds consensus, who challenges thinking and who brings clarity in uncertainty.

No culinary experience required. Whether you’re entirely at home in the kitchen or firmly outside your comfort zone, the experience is designed to encourage genuine collaboration and connection across a room of peers who rarely get the chance to work together in this way.

Why should you attend?

Explore how different leadership styles, working approaches and decision-making instincts shape team performance, culture and innovation, in a setting that makes those dynamics visible in real time.

Gain practical perspective on building environments where healthy challenge, diverse thinking and varied strengths drive better outcomes, rather than slow them down.

Connect with peers navigating the same leadership questions, through a shared experience designed to surface genuine insight rather than rehearsed answers.

Walk away with new thinking on what high-performing, cognitively diverse teams actually look like in practice, and what it takes to build one.
