Sir Martin Sorrell is the Founder and Executive Chairman of S4 Capital, a tech-led, new-era marketing services business built for global, multinational, and digital-first brands.
One of the most influential figures in modern media and advertising, Sir Martin spent over three decades building WPP from a £1 million shell company into the world’s largest advertising services group, with a market capitalisation exceeding £16 billion and a global workforce of 200,000 people.
In 2018, he founded S4 Capital to challenge the traditional agency model, bringing together companies including MediaMonks and MightyHive. These were later unified under Monks, a single integrated brand operating across 30+ countries, combining marketing, technology, and AI-driven capabilities to redefine how businesses engage with consumers.
Alongside his executive work, Sir Martin co-founded S4S Ventures, investing in early-stage technology companies shaping the future of media and marketing. He is also deeply engaged in education and philanthropy, supporting institutions including Harvard Business School and University of Cambridge, and serving as a Trustee of Bloomberg Philanthropies.
